Stefanie

Owner, Director of Development, Behavior & Enrichment Expert

Hi, I’m Stefanie and I could not be more excited about being here in Greater Manchester working with the incredible staff at the Canine Country Club. I’ve worked in canine welfare in almost every capacity for more than 25 years, specializing in enrichment and behavior because those areas most impact a dog’s ability to thrive in the modern world.

Working in one of the largest cities in the USA, shelters were always overflowing with dogs given up for behavior problems. Those unable to find homes are often euthanized for issues that could have been properly managed. Years of experience have shown me that the leading cause of these “problems” is unmet needs. Bored dogs, misunderstood dogs, the right dog in the wrong home.

So many people are unaware of what it takes to properly care for a dog – enrichment needs, social needs, environmental needs, plus a healthy understanding of what their genetics and learning experiences have taught them. I’ve always felt it is our responsibility to give them their best life possible, as we are the ones responsible for bringing them into existence in the first place.

Working with dogs who struggle, developing enrichment plans for dogs and their families, and teaching humans how to look at their dogs’ needs is my passion. The most fulfilling thing for me is to see a dog happy and thriving with a family that understands and loves them for who they are. So thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your dogs’ life. Our goal for the Country Club is to be THE place for all the precocious pups, curious canines, and the humans who love them.

Every dog is different

Manager

Beth

Hello! My name is Beth, I am the dedicated doggy daycare Manager here at Rochdale Canine Country Club! I have been working at the country club for 3+ years and have lots of hands on experience with all our fur babies. I have a huge passion for working with dogs and seeing them build trust in new relationships and become their own character!

Before working at the country club, I practiced in dog grooming for 1 year and I was leading group dog walks around the grooming schedule! I have built a strong background in customer service and client support while developing my problem solving and leadership skills through my previous experience as a supervisor, so I’m always up for helping in any way I can!

I studied A-levels and b-tech subjects in art and design, photography and business.

I have a shihtzu cross pomeranian pooch called Mishka who is 10 years old, he is full of character and loves his family, as well as his treats! When Mishka first came into the family he was a pocket rocket zooming around the house! Over time we saw his personality shine and he is the most caring and understanding boy ever! He can tell exactly how I’m feeling at all times, because of this I knew being around dogs was exactly where I had to be.

My goals for myself outside of the canine country club are to travel and experience new things and to spend much more time with my family. My goals for the canine country club are to make the daycare a really special place for dogs to be that caters to their needs while helping grow and develop the business.

A couple funny facts about me is that I’m definitely guilty of remembering a dog’s name before I remember their owners! And… I will almost instantly think of a nickname for that dog after meeting them!

A couple cool facts people may not know about me is that I paint canvases as a hobby and I love to go camping and fishing!

I’ve been working with dogs for the past four years, mainly in daycare, as well as spending some time working as a grooming assistant. I love getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they have a fun, safe and positive time.

Outside of work, I enjoy bouldering and keeping active.

Head of Enrichment & Play

Milo

Hello, I’m Milo. I enjoy working with dogs because they’re cute and funny & each and every one is different in their own ways. I love big dogs because they are goofy and funny. I did a level 2 apprenticeship in animal care for college. I’ve been working with animals for around 4 years. I enjoy going on huge walks with my dog & I love old and vintage clothes.

Max

I’m Max. I’m a certified Family Dog Mediator, and have always had a huge love for dogs. I’ve spent my life around animals, from growing up on a farm to looking after dogs of all different breeds and sizes.

What I love most about dogs is how intelligent, fascinating and how different they all are (also extremely cute!!!). I love learning what makes dogs tick and understanding what they need to feel happy, comfortable and fulfilled. I want to work with dogs because I want to get to know them all as individuals and give them the best possible experience!

I’m a huge fan of snowboarding, and I probably love the Lion King more than anyone ever!

Groomer

Sophie

Hi, I’m Sophie!

I’m an OCN-qualified dog groomer with 5+ years of experience, plus I’m trained in Emmi-Pet ultrasonic teeth cleaning and canine first aid – because you can never know too much when it comes to our furry friends!

I’m always learning and looking for new ways to improve, whether that’s through courses, seminars or picking up new grooming tricks along the way!

I’m also a proud dog mum to my Cavalier King Charles, Jamie, with my two special angels Tinkerbell & Charlie watching over us from Rainbow Bridge.

I’m a big believer that every dog is different (and some definitely have more attitude than others!), so I’m all about patience, cuddles, treats and making every groom as happy and stress-free as possible!

I’m Katie, and I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I’ve grown up surrounded by puppies, and the Cavalier King Charles will always be my favourite breed. I love getting to know each dog’s unique personality – it’s my favourite part of working in the Canine Country Club.

Outside of dogs, I’m a big travel lover, I can sing, and I have a Level 3 qualification in media makeup, especially gory special-effects looks.

I’ve got six tattoos so far and definitely plan on adding more. I bring creativity, energy, and a whole lot of heart to the team every day.

Groomer, Barks & Bubbles

Sarah

Hi, I’m Sarah, the owner and groomer behind Barks & Bubbles!

I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember, and I feel incredibly lucky to have turned that passion into a career. I’m a qualified Level 3 Dog Groomer with 5.5 years experience, alongside my Level 2 Animal Nursing Assistant qualification and additional training in canine health and wellbeing, Animal First Aid and professional teeth cleaning with Emmi-Pet.

For me, grooming is about so much more than making dogs look their best. My priority is making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, cared for and completely pampered during their visit.

Outside of the salon, I’m lucky enough to share two very special fur babies, Hattie & Henry, with my mum. I’ve also been lucky to have some incredibly special dogs in my life, including much-loved Candy Dog, who sadly crossed the rainbow bridge in February last year.

I’m now also lucky enough to be Max’s groomer and “best friend” – a gorgeous Cockapoo who is just over a year old and has very much stolen many hearts!

Dogs really are at the heart of everything I do, and I feel so lucky to have made a career out of something I’ve loved since childhood.
